Pro-Shot Video: Napalm Death’s Entire Nantes Deathfist Performance

Although they haven’t made a big stink out of it, a glance at the “Tour Dates” section of Napalm Death’s Facebook page shows that the grindcore legends have, unsurprisingly, been quietly postponing or outright cancelling dates on their upcoming North American tour with Tombs and WVRM (Aborted were also s’posed to be part of the trek, but they dropped off a coupla weeks ago). With the tour scheduled to run from mid-April to mid-May, I think it’s a safe bet that all the shows will, eventually, meet this fate.

That’s a bummer, and I know this is a small consolation prize, but hey, we’ll take it: Violent Motion has uploaded pro-shot video of the band’s entire performance at Nantes Deathfist (that’s not a typo — it’s not “Nantes Deathfest”), which took place (where else?) in Nantes, France this past February. The set is a little bit over an hour in length, and included both of the new tracks the band released that same month, “Logic Ravaged by Brute Force” and a cover of Sonic Youth’s “White Kross.” In other words, it’s likely that this would have been the setlist for the N.A. tour. So, hey. Better that nuthin’, right?
