WSOU First Impressions: The Amity Affliction, Everyone Loves You… Once You Leave Them
Seton Hall University’s WSOU radio is the only all-metal, all-the-time station currently broadcasting in the U.S., and has been a force in metal for decades. It’s also streamable online from anywhere in the world!
Each week, a different staff member of WSOU will share a quick review of an album they’re currently digging, right here on MetalSucks. Enjoy!
The Amity Affliction, Everyone Loves You… Once You Leave Them
The new Amity Affliction album is absolutely incredible, fusing every sound the band has utilized in their career into one cohesive masterpiece, mixing their deathcore, metalcore, alternative, electronic, and post-hardcore sounds to create an extremely concise and engaging record. If you are a fan of the hard-hitting, metal edge of The Amity Affliction’s sound, tracks like “Coffin,” “All My Friends Are Dead,” and “Catatonia” are perfect for you. If you prefer their more alternative rock sounding tracks, “Aloneliness” and “Just Like Me” will send you over the moon. The songs that fuse it all together are some of the best, like “Soak Me in Bleach,” “All I Do Is Sink” and “Forever.” Everyone Loves You…Once You Leave Them is everything I wanted and more from The Amity Affliction and I hope they continue in this vein in the future.
