Video: Vended, Featuring the Sons of Slipknot’s Corey Taylor and Shawn “Clown” Crahan, Headline First Show

Last week we reported that Griffin Taylor, son of Slipknot’s Corey Taylor, would be playing his first headlining show with his band, Vended, in Des Moines, IA over the weekend. What we did not report at that time was that Vended’s drummer, Simon Crahan, is the son of — you guessed it — Slipknot’s Shawn “Clown” Crahan. We did not report this because we didn’t know. Whoops. But it makes sense that Simon is also in Vended — he and Griffin previously jointly jammed on some cover tunes of their dads’ music.

ANYWAY, the band did indeed play that headline show last night (March 8), and now there is video of that performance, which you can watch below. They are certainly their fathers’ sons, that for sure.

Meanwhile, touchingly, Simon also shared a photo of one of his drum heads, on which he wrote the phrase “For Gabi” — a tribute to his older sister, Gabrielle, who died last May at the age of 22. You can check out that photo below as well.
