Poll: For Which ’80s Throwback Summer Stadium Tour Are You More Excited?
If someone who went into a coma in 1990 were to wake up this summer, there are surely many aspects of the modern world which they would find confusing. President Trump? Smart phones? Streaming services? WTF?!?!
One place they’d feel right at home, though, is on the summer stadium tour circuit, which in 2020 will see some of the biggest bands of the Riki Rachtman/Headbangers Ball era going head-to-head in the continents’ biggest venues. First, there’s the tour which will see Def Leppard teaming up with the newly-reunited Mötley Crüe, Poison, and Joan Jett & the Blackhearts; and then there’s the tour starring Guns N’ Roses (support acts, if there are any, remain TBA). Sure, our imaginary coma patient would be shocked to see that Vince Neil and Axl Rose have put on a few pounds, but otherwise, these tours very literally could have taken place thirty years ago.
