Watch: Slipknot Perform “Nero Forte” and “Birth of the Cruel” for the First Time
Slipknot kicked off their 2020 touring schedule last night with a gig in Dublin, Ireland, unveiling the setlist that will likely stick with them throughout the run (with some small changes here and there, perhaps). That set included five songs from their latest album, We Are Not Your Kind, a bold move given how often the band’s fans clamor for them to play older material. Here it is:
“Unsainted”
“Disasterpiece”
“Eeyore”
“Nero Forte”
“Before I Forget”
“New Abortion”
“Psychosocial”
“Solway Firth”
“Vermilion”
“Birth of the Cruel”
“Wait and Bleed”
“Eyeless”
“All Out Life”
“Duality”
Encore
“(sic)”
“People = Shit”
“Surfacing”
The Dublin show marked the first time the band has performed “Nero Forte” and “Birth of the Cruel” live, and naturally there’s already fan-filmed footage of both on the information superhighway. You can have a look at those at the bottom of this post.
