Members of Mötley Crüe and Five Finger Death Punch Guest on New Cory Marks Country Song, “Outlaws & Outsiders”
Cory Marks, who the Internet tells me is either a country music star or a member of the Pratt Institute Cannoneers 2017-18 women’s tennis team, has a new song called “Outlaws & Outsiders.” So Cory Marks is probably a country music star. Okay that makes sense.
ANYWAY, Mr. Marks, like I said, has this new song, which is relevant to metal because it features guest vocals by Ivan Moody from Five Finger Death Punch. The pairing makes sense: FFDP and modern country music both play to Red State ‘Muhricans’ perception of themselves as freedom lovin’ mavericks. Or. Y’know. Outlaws and outsiders. Of course, usually these same people are neither outlaws nor outsiders, but what can you do? If they were intelligent enough to recognize that, they wouldn’t listen to this trash in the first place.
The track also features Travis Tritt and, for a roughly 10-15 seconds, Mick Mars from Mötley Crüe. So if you and your sister-aunt need some music to get in the mood tonight, this should do ya fine.
Five Finger Death Punch, meanwhile, are on tour now. Get tickets here.
