Pro-Shot Video: Machine Head’s Entire Bochum Concert from the Burn My Eyes 25th Anniversary Tour
If you haven’t missed the local stop of, or haven’t yet made it to, Machine Head’s Burn My Eyes 25th anniversary tour, fear not! Their October 14th concert in Bochum, Germany, was professionally filmed in its entirety for your viewing and listening pleasure. Originally livestreamed via Nugs.tv, you can now view the madness right here from the comfort of your living room.
The Burn My Eyes tour has been described as a three-hour musical extravaganza. It consists of two parts — part one features all of the band’s classics as played by their newly re-jiggered line-up, while part two consists of 75% of the Burn My Eyes line-up performing that album in its entirety for the first time ever.
In an interview with Kerrang!, Machine Head’s Robb Flynn spoke about the decision to split the set in two, revealing that each half consisted of contributions from different artists. He said that he “wanted to honor Chris [Kontos] and Logan [Mader] without them having to learn 40 other fucking songs to pull it off.”
“It’s kind of weird,” Flynn continued. “We’re going to have a lot of motherfuckers on tour. But it’s gonna be fucking awesome. I think it’s gonna be a bit of a goddamn circus. I really want to pay tribute to the guys that were there and built it with me. I think it’s going to break the fucking internet!”
The North American leg of Burn My Eyes 25th-anniversary tour will kick off in January 2020 before the band returns to Europe in the spring. Get all dates and tickets here.
