I Am Writing About This Bring Me the Horizon Tour Because Poppy is Opening
I don’t much care for Bring Me the Horizon, to which this site’s endless archive of articles will attest, although I will say I greatly prefer their new, poppy direction to their old, generic metalcore one. That upcoming collaboration with Halsey should be interesting, too.
Speaking of poppy: the artist known as Poppy — the robot-like, semi-androgynous singer with unstoppable, unshakeable dance pop grooves who occasionally dabbles in metal — is opening the trek. I friggin’ LOVED Poppy’s late 2018 release Am I a Girl? — spun it on repeat a whooooole lot! — and would abso-fuckin-lutely buy a ticket to one of these shows just to see her! The tour isn’t coming to New York so I guess I’ll have to wait… but if you’re a BMTH fan and you plan on attending one of these dates, get there early, I implore you.
