Tomb Mold Keep It Moldy on New Song “Accelerative Phenomenae”
Speaking of silly-but-attention-grabbing metal band names: Tomb Mold have released a new song called “Accelerative Phenomenae”! And holy fucksicles, does it ever rule. Like their contemporaries in Gatecreeper, Tomb Mold excel at writing filthy-sounding death metal predicated upon capital-E Evil-sounding riffs and some well-placed groove. The production here is actually even more lo-fi-sounding than that of your average Gatecreeper jam, and it has less groove; in other words, it’s even less easily-palatable. It’s about as inviting as house full of snakes.
Also, if the Hannemantastic part that kicks in around the three-minute mark doesn’t get you Wayne’s Worlding, something is wrong with you. That shit will make you feel like someone attached a fish hook to your lower lip and is moving your head up and down involuntarily.
Check out “Accelerative Phenomenae” below. The track will appear on Tomb Mold’s third album, Planetary Clairvoyance, which comes out July 19 on 20 Buck Spin. Pre-order it here (physical) or here (digital). Tomb Mold go into tour mold mode starting the week before. Dates are at the bottom of this post.
