Baroness Release Official Studio Recording of New Song “Borderlines”
Here’s a nice way to start your morning: Baroness have released the official studio recording of “Borderlines,” the first single from their new album, Gold & Grey. The band, you may recall, first debuted the song live this past weekend. As I said at the time, Baroness do bittersweet like nobody else. Wistful and haunting, yet undeniably buoyant and loose, “Borderlines” is the kind of song that might make you feel like dancing and crying in equal measures. It’s fucking great.
The Pam Strohm-directed video is pretty sweet, too.
Gold & Grey now has an official release date of June 14 through the band’s own label, Abraxan Hymns. Pre-orders are here. Baroness are out on tour with Deafheaven even as I type this. Remaining dates are below:
