These Are Kirk Hammett’s Favorite Songs from Metallica’s Master of Puppets
First, let’s all just take a moment to appreciate how frickin’ adorable Kirk Hammett was in 1986, when he was 24 years old and Metallica made their seminal album, Master of Puppets:
UH. DOOR. UH. BULL!
With that out of the way…
Mr. Hammett celebrated the recent 33rd (!) anniversary of the release of Puppets by sharing which tracks on the album are his personal favorites. His selections?
Interesting choices, to be sure — not least of all because Kirk has no writing credit on “Orion.” Kirk remains Metallica’s most modest member.
Which tracks are your favorites from Master of Puppets? I’d guess that “Battery” and the title track would be the most popular choices, but I don’t think “Disposable Heroes” gets enough love. Feel free to fight about it in the comments section.
I’m gonna have to think about this one @Metallica https://t.co/FY7ZauAq5d

@Metallica Still all great songs, but personally? The Thing That Should Not Be / Orion. Those are my faves from Master of Puppets. ⚡️????????
