The Wendy’s Twitter Account Roasted Atreyu, Gwar, Miss May I, Underoath, Bullet For My Valentine and More
Whoever is behind the Twitter account of the square-burgered fast food chain Wendy’s has a history in hardcore and metal and used that knowledge yesterday in a hilarious string of burns against some favorite scene targets.
As part of their National Roast Day campaign to promote the Wendy’s mobile app, the chain invited Twitter users to challenge Wendy’s to roast them. Papa Roach, Underoath, Miss May I, Memphis May Fire, Bullet For My Valentine, Knocked Loose, Victory Records, Atreyu, Gwar, Chris Fronzak (Attila), Beartooth, Hopeless Records, Hawthorne Heights and others all got in on the action with roasts directed their way.
You can check those out below, and the hundreds of other Wendy’s roasts throughout the day — aimed at other celebrities, companies and regular folk alike — right here.
Job well done to everyone behind this marketing stunt; absolutely brilliant!
This tweet reminds us that the past is real. #NationalRoastDay
