Original Post:
All That Remains have issued a statement that divulges more details about the death of founding guitarist Oli Herbert, who it was revealed this morning had passed away unexpectedly.
It has now come to light that Oli died from “an accident which occurred on the property of his home.” While the nature of that accident is still unknown, that’s more information about Oli’s tragic and untimely passing than we had this morning, and it’s some relief (albeit small) to learn that drugs nor suicide were involved.
The statement came to MetalSucks via publicist Suzanne Penley and reads in full:
“On behalf of Oli’s wife and family I can confirm that Oli Herbert passed away yesterday unexpectedly as a result of an accident which occurred on the property of his home. He was 44 years old. No further details are being released at this time. Funeral arrangements are pending and will be announced once that information is available. The family requests for privacy during this time but does wish to express their appreciation to fans worldwide for the outpouring of condolences.
“All press/media inquiries should be directed to me – Oli’s publicist, via email to: [email protected].”
We will continue to post updates on this story as we receive them. Continuing to wish all the best to Oli’s family, bandmates and friends on behalf of everyone at MetalSucks during this incredibly difficult time.
