Outer Heaven’s “Putrid Dwelling” Video: A Brief History of Evil Mold Zombies
If you’re not into Outer Heaven yet, we’re not sure what’s wrong with you, but don’t worry, we’ll keep posting about them until you wise up. The PA quintet makes grimy death metal that sounds less like an open bleeding wound and more like a weeping fungal infection. Even if you haven’t dug on “Bloodspire”, the first single from their upcoming debut Realms of Eternal DEcay, their Guest Playlist alone should have won you over with their impeccable taste.
If all that wasn’t enough, the band has released an animated video for “Putrid Dwelling”, their second single. Directed by Marco Morales, the video is basically a computer-animated depiction of the story behind Realms‘ album cover, in which horrific creatures made of fungus murder and infect living humans, all while asteroids smash into the earth. Yeah, I know, I’m fully erect just writing that sentence.
Watch “Putrid Dwelling” below and become one with the invasive species that is humankind. Outer Heaven’s Realms of Eternal Decay drops October 12th via Relapse; pre-order it here.
