The Sword Cancel Australian Tour, Announce Hiatus

Bad news, Sword fans: the band has announced they’re taking a little break. Says the Texas quartet…

“After 15 years of nonstop recording and touring, The Sword will take a hiatus following their U.S shows at the beginning of October. The Australian tour scheduled for the end of October has been cancelled. The band apologizes to their Australian fans, but feel it is time for a breather.”

If I were going to speculate, I’d say something is amiss here; otherwise there’s really no excuse to let down fans in Australia and go on hiatus so soon, let alone to do all that a mere six months after the release of their latest album, Used Future (I’m sure you don’t need us to tell you the touring cycle for a band of this stature usually runs much longer).

But I’m not going to speculate. I’m just going to offer a conciliatory “Sorry, bruh” to Sword fans.
