New Band Featuring Members of Strapping Young Lad, the Devin Townsend Project, and Threat Signal: First Song Released

Imonolith, the new band featuring Jed Simon and Byron Stroud from Strapping Young Lad, Ryan Van Poederooyen and Briad Waddell from the Devin Townsed Project, and Threat Signal’s Jon Howard, have released their first song for public consumption. It’s a demo of a track called “The Reign,” and, uh… well, it’s no SYL, that’s for sure. I mean, you can hear a Devy influence, but ultimately, there ain’t no Devy but Devy. I feel like I would have heard this song in 2006 and not really liked it all that much; I’m already cracking ‘Imehnolith’ jokes. Maybe you’ll enjoy it more:
