One Of The 597 Bands Named Tyrant Drops New Music Video “Spoils of Decimation”
It’s not the Tyrant from Germany, or from Australia, or the US, Brazil, or Finland: no, these boys are from Canada, and they’re here to crush your word.
The band formed in Edmonton, Alberta in 2011 and quickly picked up quite a local following with their energetic live shows. Tyrant will be releasing their second EP, The Existential Reversal, on June 15, and you don’t even have to go out of your way to hear it — just pre-save it to Spotify.
The first single from the EP, titled “Spoils of Decimation,” is crisp, punchy, and technical, but still leaves some room to get into a groove and melt your face. The entire record is also self produced, which I’m totally on board with, especially when it’s done this well. Check out the music video for “Spoils of Decimation” below. You’ll be glad you did.
It’ll be interesting to see what Tyrant have to offer in the future. Considering that they’ve been able to come out with this quality of work while also claiming they’re just a step above “hobby band” is a promising sign. If you’d like to keep up with Tyrant, give them a follow on Facebook.
