Code Orange are Up to Something
Code Orange are getting set to embark on a headline run with Twitching Tongues and Vein in about a month, and there is a possibility the band will have released new music by then, although if so it most likely won’t be a full album.
The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports the band was in the recording studio in Philadelphia last week, but they wouldn’t say what exactly they were doing there. Drummer/vocalist Jami Morgan only offered this cryptic explanation:
“We’re looking at that model of putting things out there more. We put a single out a few months ago. I want to keep it flowing. I think that’s the way kids are used to consuming stuff, and it’s something the world needs to catch onto. I want to balance doing things like that, and records.”
The single from a few months ago Morgan is referring to is “Only One Way,” which dropped in February via the Adult Swim Singles series. While it’s possible the band is looking at continuing to release singles one at a time, there are a number of other scenarios that could see them releasing music outside of a proper full-length album so let’s not get too caught up in speculation just yet. Still, this much is certain: the band is laying down tracks for something in the studio, and that’s enough reason for us to be stoked.
More, of course, as we learn it.
