THE ABSENCE JOIN METAL BLADE LABEL MATES IN THE WAR AGAINST TRIVIUM

Wwwaaaayyyy back in January, when this site was all of two weeks old, we reported that Goatwhore had declared war Trivium, claiming that band to be purveyors of “false metal” and calling for Trivium mainman Matt Heafy to be “beheaded. Actually, he should be be-handed.”

Well, now MetalSucks reader Andrew Kolbe has alerted us to the following MySpace bulletin, which The Absence posted in anticipation of their upcoming Metal Blade anniversary tour with label mates Cannibal Corpse, The Black Dahlia Murder, The Red Chord, and, of course, Goatwhore:

Actually, we kinda like Trivium around here… but this is way too fuckin’ funny not to laugh at. I hope the dudes in The Absence wear the Trivium shirts they get out on the road every night just to, y’know, hammer the joke home – or better, yet, that a whole shit load of people show up at the next Trivium tour in their Absence tees.
