One of the most unrelenting bands in music’s most unrelenting genre, Savagery once again finds Skinless trampling the weak and hurdling the dead. Listening to the title track — which we’re beyond stoked to be premiering today! — feels like being liquified beneath a pile of bricks. It seems designed to cave the listener’s skull in with all the dignified grace of being beaten to death with a hammer. It feels like it represents a rage far more primal than most; indeed, it begins with guitarist Noah Carpenter declaring “You have brought upon yourself our savagery!”, as though humanity conjured Skinless through its own sheer insensitivity. “Savagery” isn’t just devolved — it’s primordial. It’s going to reach into your mouth and split your jaw apart and chew out your tongue while it stands on your chest, and there’s nothing you can do to stop it.
