Truckfighters Robbed in San Francisco, Seeking Donations
Truckfighters are the latest band to get robbed while on the road, with cash and valuables taken from their van last night while they were inside playing a show in San Francisco. Making matters worse, Truckfighters aren’t from America, meaning they’ve still got expensive flights back home to Sweden that need to be paid for.
The band posted the following message on Facebook yesterday:
“Smash and grab through our van window yesterday night in San Francisco. Happened during our gig. Valuable things like a lot of cash and computer got stolen… Americans please buy a lot of merch on the rest of the tour so we can afford to home ;) If you see a macbook air with Truckfighters and Fuzzorama Records stickers on it call the police!”
A GoFundMe campaign has been launched to help get Truckfighters back on their feet, and it’s already off to a promising start: in only 17 hours, 115 people have donated a total of nearly 38,000 Swedish Krona, or roughly $4,500 USD. Their goal of 50,000 SEK (a little less than $6,000 USD) is right around the corner! Let’s help them get there.
Touring bands, if you’re reading this: DO NOT LEAVE ANYTHING OF VALUE IN THE VAN!!! EVER!!! TAKE IT WITH YOU EVERYWHERE YOU GO!
