Marilyn Manson Cancels Freakers’ Ball and Aftershock Festival Appearances in Wake of Injury
Marilyn Manson suffered what appeared to be a grisly injury nearly two weeks ago in New York City when a stage prop he was hanging onto fell on top of him. Manson needed to be carted off the stage and was taken to a hospital, and while the exact nature of his injury hasn’t been revealed (some have speculated a broken leg), it was serious enough that nine shows of his current tour were canceled while he was sent home to recuperate in L.A.
Now it seems as if Manson will need some extra time to recover: both the Freakers’ Ball in Kansas City (scheduled to host him on October 15th) and the Aftershock Festival (where he was scheduled to appear on October 22nd) have released updated lineup info with Manson removed from the bill.
Manson has three other scheduled shows between those festivals, and while there’s no word on the status of those it seems highly unlikely he’ll be able to play them: festival dates are typically big money gigs, and there’d be no reason for Manson to haul ass out on the road to earn less money for three headline shows only to take a break for Aftershock. Although I suppose you never know.
Here are the remaining dates of Manson’s tour that have not, as far as we know, been canceled:
10/17 Tulsa, OK – Brady Theater
10/19 Denver, CO – Fillmore Auditorium
10/20 Salt Lake City, UT – The Complex
10/23 Oakland, CA – Fox Theater
10/27 Las Vegas, NV – House of Blues
10/28 Las Vegas, NV – House of Blues
11/5 San Bernardino, CA — Ozzfest Meets Knotfest @ Glen Helen Amphitheater
