Mike Patton’s Accident: Singer Wiped Out on His Skateboard
My fellow Mike Patton acolytes: you can all rest easy. The Great Lord Patton is okay.
To review: the Dead Cross vocalist was involved in an accident yesterday, the nature of which was not initially revealed. Then the band released a statement calling the accident “minor” without offering any additional details — including whether or not last night’s show cancellation was a one-off deal, or if more shows would have been scrapped because of Patton’s injuries.
Now the group’s publicist has issued another statement, and this one should really make fans breathe a sigh of relief:
“Mike Patton is ok, he is getting stitched up and is raring to go. He thought he could skateboard to the show last night but he suffered a bad wipe out on the way. The remainder of Dead Cross’ tour will go on as planned.”
Great news! In fact, last night’s show, which was scheduled to take place at the El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles, will now take place tonight, August 22, instead. If you had tickets to last night’s show, they’ll be honored tonight; if you had tickets to last night’s show and can’t make it tonight, refunds are available at the point of purchase.
The important thing: Mikey’s okay!!! PHEW! Here’s hoping that dude outlives us all.
