Video: Ozzy Osbourne Performs “Bark at the Moon” During Total Solar Eclipse

This fan-filmed footage of Ozzy Osbourne performing his classic track “Bark at the Moon” during the solar eclipse yesterday is admittedly even more rad than I was expecting!

The performance took place at the Moonstock Festival in Cartersville, IL, a town along the narrow band of the U.S. that experienced totality, when the moon completely obscures the sun. When Ozzy begins playing the song it basically just looks like dusk outside, but within a minute-and-a-half the stage and everything around it descend into complete darkness, with the musicians illuminated by stage lights as if it were late night. The photographer did a good job of filming the eclipse itself, too. By the time the song ends, the moon has already begun to move away from the sun, and daylight creeps back in. The whole thing is surreal! Perfect execution and planning by all those involved.
