LAYNE STALEY WOULD HAVE TURNED 40 THIS WEEK
It’s hard to believe, but the pioneers of the grunge / alternative rock generation are now turning 40. In celebration of the 40th anniversary of Layne Staley’s birth, Tom Scanlon of The Seattle Times has done a retrospective featuring an interview with Staley’s mother, Nancy McCallum. McCallum talks a bit about her son’s early and high school years, including representing him at his high school class’s 20th year reunion in 2006. Worth the quick read if you’re a fan of Alice.
