Video: Watch Royal Thunder Perform at a Tiny Desk
We’ll forgive you if you’re not familiar with NPR’s “Tiny Desk Concerts,” a video series of live shows that takes place at the desk of All Songs Considered host Bob Boilen; they haven’t hosted a whole lot of metal bands. But with Royal Thunder making the acoustic rounds of late, NPR invited the Georgian quartet into their Washington, D.C. studio and the resulting performance was riveting. As if you’d ever expect any less from Royal Thunder.
The band performed three songs from their recent album Wick, with vocalist Mlny Parsonz sounding as powerful as ever. Makes me sorry I missed a small acoustic show they gave in NYC this spring.
Watch below, and catch Royal Thunder at select dates with Ghost over the next couple of months (listed under the embed).
