THE HIDDEN HAND TO STAY HIDDEN. FOREVER.

The Hidden Hand, one of the ten gazillion stoner metal outfits fronted by the legendary Wino, has apparently called it quits. In a statement, Wino implies that his band mates’ laziness/shit work ethic/inability to commit is at fault for the split: “Without going into detail to embarrass anyone… I cannot any longer tolerate being promised stuff that never happens… I will still be wholeheartedly dedicated to the Shrinebuilder project with Chris and Al of Om and Scott from Neurosis. This will be a long way off but I KNOW these dudes are FOR REAL.”

Whatever the reason for the split, it’s a damn shame, ’cause the band just put out an excellent album, The Resurrection of Whiskey Foote, back in February. Oh well. At least this Shrinebuilder thing sounds promising.
