Sonny Moore (Skrillex) is Officially Reunited with From First to Last
If you cared about From First to Last back in the day but lost interest after Moore’s departure, this is probably huge news for you. If, like us, you never got it… you can get right back to not caring along with us.
But, for those who are interested:
Last month From First to Last released a brand new song called “Make War” with original frontman Sonny Moore (who, since his departure, has gone on to dominate the world as EDM superstar Skrillex), capping months of rumors about the potential reunion. What the track meant for the future of the band wasn’t clear, although Periphery’s Spencer Sotelo — who filled in with FFTL on vocals for one album and subsquent touring — parted ways with the band in August of 2016, leaving the vocalist slot open ever since.
Now From First to Last have announced that Moore is permanently back in the band. “Permanently” in today’s definition of the word when it comes to bands, of course, which basically just means “until further notice.” To what extent FFTL will be touring — and juggling that with Skrillex’s already busy schedule — isn’t clear right now, but Moore has been added as an official member on the band’s Facebook page where they also posted a photo of the new lineup. A post on Twitter has the same pic along with the caption “2017 vibes <3.”
Tour dates and/or a new album will presumably be announced soon.
