Pallbearer Announce New Album and Mini-Tour
Are Pallbearer on their way to becoming one of the biggest bands in metal? It certainly feels that way; they’ve been much hyped since the very beginning, and their most recent album, Foundations of Burden (2014) — and all the touring that came along with it — significantly grew the band’s profile.
That trajectory seems like it’ll continue with Heartless, their third album for Profound Lore Records (and third overall as well). Pallbearer are the cover stars of the latest issue of Decibel Magazine — a huge honor for such a (relatively) new band — and the hype train feels like it’ll just keep on rolling. I, for one, am very, very stoked to hear it.
They’re the kind of band that pretty much any kind of metalhead can get into: they’re heavy enough to please the purists, melodic enough to appeal to the mainstream, and accessible enough to cast a net even beyond metal. It’s the perfect brew, really, and I’ll be shocked if this album doesn’t make them huge.
An exact release date for Heartless hasn’t been announced yet, but the record will come out in March. They’ll also embark on a mini-tour around that time, with dates posted below.
