HE’S BAAAACCCCHHHH: BAZ’S NEW ALBUM TO FINALLY SEE THE LIGHT OF DAY

Hey, if Sebastian Bach can use an endless number of puns on his name, so can we.

ANYWAY, the rock star-turned-Broadway star-turned-reality show star-turned-Axl Rose’s bitch is putting out a new album, Angel Down, on November 20. It feels like we’ve been hearing about a new Baz solo album in some form or another since… well, his last solo album, 1999’s Bring ‘Em Bach Alive – which actually only had five original songs before a bunch of live recordings of Baz and his new solo band (which included some Native American dude named Larry, complete with a feather in his hair, playing bass) covering Skid Row songs in Japan, a.k.a. the only country where hair metal’s popularity never wained.

But I digress. The eight year wait for a new offering from the Youth Gone Wild makes this the mostly highly anticipated album by an 80’s artist besides Axl Rose’s you-know-what, which is ironic, because if Rose hadn’t done Baz the favor of draggin’ his ass around on tour all last year, I have a feeling we’d still be waiting for someone to distribute this new album. The disc will feature cover art by Bach’s dead dad, who also did the cover for Slave to the Grind, although this album sleeve isn’t nearly as cool. Still, if it’s anything like Bring ‘Em Bach Alive, it should sound ten times more like Skid Row than anything Skid Row has done with that Johnny Solinger dude.
