Man Must Die Cancel Shows, Part Ways with Drummer

Glasgow tech-deathsters Man Must Die have been forced to cancel an upcoming run of shows in Austria mere days in advance, and they’re throwing shade in one direction: now ex-drummer James Burke.

In a post to Facebook, Man Must Die haven’t painted the most respectable picture of Burke. But there are always two sides to these stories, and often very good reasons that one of those sides will never be known to the public.

First, here’s Man Must Die’s post:

Burke responded a short while later on his own Facebook page, simply stating, “There’s two sides to every story,” but when prompted by fans he elaborated further in the comments:

Still not much of an explanation, but a) maybe he’s choosing to leave out details that would be less than flattering for Man Must Die, aka taking the high road, b) Maybe that’s all there is to it, c) maybe he really is just a flake.

ANYWAY, Man Must Die released a killer new track called “Silent Authority” last month. Check it out below. The band’s new EP, Gagging Order, is due to come out later this year.
