Finally, the Guns Reunion We’ve REALLY Been Waiting For
2016 is a historic year for Guns N’ Roses reunions they said would never happen. First, there was the actual Guns N’ Roses reunion; now it’s been announced that Tracii Guns, who was the guitarist in Guns N’ Roses before Slash, has rejoined his other namesake band, L.A. Guns.
Guns formed Guns in the 80s before leaving to start Guns with Axl Rose. He then left Guns in 1985 and returned to Guns until the early aughts. During this time, Guns also often appeared on Guns tribute albums.

Guns then recorded and toured with his own, separate version of Guns until 2012, when he finally retired that iteration of the band. He then patched things up with Guns vocalist Phil Lewis, who at that point was leading other, still-functioning Guns, in 2013.
Guns.
Okay, here’s the real punchline: L.A. Guns were actually a pretty good band in their heyday, and they even made some decent albums before disintegrating circa 2004. The last release made with both Guns and Lewis, Waking the Dead, was produced by Andy Johns — he of The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, and Van Halen fame — and was a totally solid hard rock record.

What I’m saying is, be prepared for me to write many more articles both mocking and celebrating this band as we get closer to the reunion album.
The new album will be out sometime in the future on Frontiers, because what other label would it be on?
