Another week of metal is in the books! Here are some of the highlights:
- Havok alleged they were booted off the Megadeth tour after refusing to sign an unfair contract with Mustaine Management, but Justis Mustaine insisted it was just “industry standard.”
- Metallica released a new song called “Hardwired.” Their double-album Hardwired to Self-Destruct will come out in November.
- We learned what various metal musicians and celebrities think of the new Metallica track.
- We played Alter Bridge and Creed guitarist (and solo artist) Mark Tremonti some brutal metal tracks, and his reactions will SHOCK AND SURPRISE YOU!!!!!
- There was another bogus Tool new album rumor.
- One couple decided that an Attila concert was a perfectly good place to bone and someone caught the act on video.
- A Baroness show in Massachusetts lodged over 200 complaints about the heat due to malfunctioning A/C.
- The Japanese synchronized swimming tune used Kamelot music as their soundtrack at the Rio Olympics.
- Some very early footage of Tool performing in a small club turned up on the Internet.
