Arizona Death Metallers Gatecreeper Sign to Relapse Records

I’m a huge fan of grimy old-school death metal, and one of the bands that has been doing that well of late is Arizona’ Gatecreeper. The band wows me time and time again, whether they’re covering Pentagram, taking part in a four-way split with some of today’s best new bands, or just fearing the demonic pizza boy. These guys slay, and deserve all the attention they get.

Well, it appears the universe is not the festering urinal it often appears to be, as it was announced today that Gatecreeper have signed to Relapse Records, and are preparing a full-length album, Sonoran Depravation, for release this fall. Which fucking rules–first, because these guys deserve to be signed to a big metal label; second, because it means that there’s a new Gatecreeper album on the way! This autumn’s going to be killer.
