CINEMETAL: SKUNK ANANSIE, “SELLING JESUS”
Here’s a band that never really got their due. Skunk Anansie were a staple of the 90’s alt-metal scene, and their eclectic, politically-driven music was, quite frankly, awesome, and should have placed them alongside similarly minded artists like Living Colour, Faith No More and Rage Against the Machine. Alas, at least here in the States, they never caught on. Below, watch their video for “Selling Jesus,” which was the best thing about the Ralph Fiennes-Angela Basset cyber-stinker Strange Days.
