Six Vocalists We’d Be Happy to See Perform with AC/DC
With Brian Johnson now out of commission due to hearing loss (apparently from car racing, not playing live), AC/DC have been forced to postpone the remainder of their North American tour. And while they have promised to make up the dates later this year, those shows will likely feature a guest vocalist in Johnson’s place.
But who in the world could possibly fill Johnson’s newsboy hat, save for The Ghost of Bon Scott? Funny you should ask: we have some ideas! In our opinion, these singers would all be excellent choices to perform with the band when they make up the dates:
#1 – Angry Anderson
A legendary scratchy-voiced vocalist from an Australian band that released their debut album just three years after AC/DC? Seems like a no-brainer, don’t it?
#2 – Joel O’Keeffe
If you told us that the Airbourne vocalist/guitarist had been cloned from Johnson, we might believe you. Probably as close to having Johnson back on that stage as you could get, sound-wise.
#3 – Rob Halford
Hey, he did a swell job subbing for Ozzy with Sabbath about a decade back.
#4 – Brody Dalle
Another Australian… and she’d be a really progressive choice! Old, uptight white guys would get SO mad! There would really be no downside to choosing Dalle.
#5 – Dave Evans
Well… it would kinda make sense, right?
#6 – Beetle Bailey
Just ’cause he looks the part.
So… who would you choose to act as Johnson’s replacement? Sound off in the comments section below!
