Derkéta to Replace Magrudergrind at Choosing Death Fest

Were you hoping to see Magrudergrind at this year’s Choosing Death Fest? Well, we’re sorry to inform you that you’re going to be shit out of luck: the band has been forced to drop off the bill as the result of an unspecified personal matter involving their drummer, Casey Moore.Fortunately, however, they’ll be replaced by Pittsburgh death/doom metallers Derkéta!

In addition, Choosing Death Fest: Grimposium will feature a death metal vocals workshop featuring Leila-Abdul Rauf of Vastum and Hammers of Misfortune. They’ve also announced a million a lot of new panelists — including artists, recording artists and musicians themselves — to answer all your questions ever. Ever.

BUT WAIT! Could there possibly be more?

There is! In addition to all of that, the Grimposium will host the world premiere of the Chuck Schuldiner documentary Death by Metal. So with all of that on top of a lineup that includes Dying Fetus AND Misery Index, it’s safe to say this thing is going to kick some major ass.

Choosing Death Fest is April 16 in Philadelphia and you can get your tickets here. The Grimposium will take place earlier in the day at noon and you can get your tickets for that event here.
