Metal Alliance Tour Allegedly Returning with Dying Fetus, The Acacia Strain, and Jungle Rot
If I was a betting man and for some reason someone chose to suggest a wager based on whether or not the Metal Alliance package tour would be back in 2016, I’d have bet on the tour not returning — I mean, last year’s edition of the trek ended rather, um, dramatically. So I’d have bet big, and I’d have promptly bought everyone in the vicinity a round of drinks, so confident would I have been in my chances of victory.
Luckily, this ridiculous dream scenario never actually transpired. If it had, it would appear that I’d be out quite a bit of money.
The tour’s organizers started teasing its return last week; nobody really seemed to notice at the time, I assume because no one was keeping their eyes peeled for any kind of announcement, because, again, last year’s tour didn’t end so well.
But then The Starlite Room in Edmonton, AB put up a ticket link for a show on May 8, and according to said ticket link, Metal Alliance 2016 will not only happen, but will have a stellar line-up, too: Dying Fetus, The Acacia Strain, Jungle Rot, Black Crown Initiate, Nylithia, and Exit Strategy. I’m not familiar with Exit Strategy, but even if they were to turn out to sound just like Crazy Town (which I severely doubt they do), that would be a kick-ass night of death metal if ever there was one.
Presumably, they’ll be some kind of official announcement soon. We’ll let you know as soon as that happens!
