At The Drive-In Return with 2016 Tour

It’s been four years, give or take, since we’ve heard from prog metal/screamo initiators At The Drive-In, who somehow managed to be a massive chart-topping success in their heyday even though they sound like someone double-dipped Jefferson Airplane’s acid.

But that hiatus is all over, apparently, as Metal Hammer reports that the band are not only hitting the road in 2016, but are planning new music as well. And this video posted to the band’s official Facebook–titled ‘WORLD TOUR. NEW MUSIC. 2016.’–seems to confirm that:

Hard to misinterpret that.

It’ll be interesting to see how this all goes down, but I’m pretty sure this will be a bang-up tour for these guys. At The Drive-In have an intense Tool-esque cult following, so I have to assume people are going to go apeshit when they hear about this.
