Jack Daniels Releases Single Barrel Whiskey in Honor of Motörhead
There have been many heartfelt tributes to fallen Motörhead frontman Lemmy Kilmister since his death last month. But this one might take the cake.
Jack Daniels released a limited batch of their Single Barrel Select whiskey in honor of Motörhead. The release was limited to 288 bottles, and was sold exclusively through the Atlantic City Bottle Company.
According to the people at Jack:
Motörhead’s hand selected batch of Jack Daniels Single Barrel Select whiskey celebrates 40 years of the loudest rock band on this planet.
Once a privileged reserve only for the Jack Daniel’s Master Distiller – exploring the nuances of whiskey from a single barrel. Today, connoisseurs around the world can savor this experience on their own.
We have selected one that is dark, oaky, but still some corn and sweetness with that signature Jack smooth charcoal smoky finish
Raise a glass and celebrate with Motörhead and their ol’ friend Jack.
Again, this is a special kind of tribute. Motörhead have their own whiskey, sure, but Jack was always Lemmy’s go-to drink. That the company publicly recognized him as an ambassador for their products is a great honor.
Anyway, the first release sold out immediately, but rumor has it that there’s another batch coming out in the next eight weeks. Follow AC Bottle Company’s Facebook to stay abreast on when the new stuff’s coming out.
