Dave Grohl vs Animal The Muppet: The Drum-Off

Animal of Muppet fame may be the most metal drummer of all time, considering that he’s a slack-jawed hair-beast who needs to be leashed to his own kit and only speaks in violent bellows. But Dave Grohl of Probot (as well as other bands, according to his Metallum) decided he had the nerve to challenge the fuzzy puppet dynamo to a drum-off.

You can watch the video below, which is pretty much everything you expected it to be. My only issue is that the guys don’t go full metal, relying heavily on snare and tom hits. I bet if you put Animal up next to someone like Dave Lombardo or Pete Sandoval, he’d really go apeshit on the double bass.
