BREAKING: The New Godsmack Album May Not be a Colossal Piece of Shit
Godsuck vocalist Sucky Erna recently made a bold claim during an interview with Gibson.com:
“We feel that on this new record we’re going to write next year, we may just completely take a drastic turn in what kind of style we want to pull out.”
What, one wonders, does a “drastic turn” mean in Godsuck-speak? Will they begin to incorporate elements of EDM? Country? Hip-hop? Emo? Klezmer? Add a turntablist named DJ Godspin? Take the leap and make the full-on polka record it’s always been clear Godsuck have wanted to make?
Obviously, we don’t know yet. But we do know that if Erna sticks to his word, one of two things will be true about the new Godsuck record:
- It will be the best album they’ve ever made.
- It will be the funniest album they’ve ever made.
So I don’t think I’ve been this excited for a Godsuck record since ever. You?
