The Browning Compare Ferguson Police Shooting to Laptop Theft, Piss Off Members of The Faceless, Intronaut, Everyone with a Brain

Is too late to add the members of The Browning to our “Biggest Putz in Metal” Readers’ Bracket? Maybe you like their music and maybe you don’t, but there’s no arguing that this Facebook post from the Missouri band was misguided at best and incredibly distasteful and insensitive at worst:
Needless to say, these comments did not go over so well with the metal community at large, and The Browning soon tried to backpedal and calm people down.

They failed.

Which is completely disingenuous, because it totally ignores what the band actually said in their initial post. We’d explain how, but our friend Sacha Dunable from Intronaut did it so eloquently, we’re just going to let him take it from here… and yes, that is The Faceless’ Michael Keene chiming in as well:

Ugh, again with this “ANYONE WHO DISAGREES WITH US IS AGAINST FREEDOM OF SPEECH!” nonsense. Hey dummies, get it through your thick skulls: that is the weak argument of a feeble mind. Figure out a better way to defend your moronic comments or just apologize and hope everyone forgets about this incident with the same speed everyone forgot about your band’s music.
