Supergroup Good Tiger (ex-The Faceless, ex-Tesseract, ex-The Safety Fire) Release Debut Single: Is it “Snake Oil” or the Real Thing?
Good Tiger — the new supergroup featuring ex-Tesseract vocalist Elliot Coleman, ex-The Safety Fire guitarists Derya Nagle and Joaquin Ardiles, ex-The Faceless drummer Alex Rüdinger, and bassist Morgan Sinclair (ex-touring guitarist for Architects) — managed to raise eighteen grand in twenty-four hours via Indiegogo last month. Now fans finally get to hear a little of what they paid for: the band has unveiled their debut single, “Snake Oil,” via a droll, nostalgia-soaked music video (below).
Will those fans be satisfied with their investment? I’m guessing they will: even I really like this song, and a) I hate everything, b) I am so over good cop/bad cop vocals, and c) I was honestly never much of a Coleman fan in the first place. But fans of upbeat, techy, melodic metalcore will definitely find this tune catchy.
Check out “Snake Oil” below. There’s still no word on a release date for the band’s debut full-length, but we’ll let you know when that changes.
