Exclusive Track Premiere: Great American Ghost’s “An Ever Changing Cast of Characters”

You may have noticed last week that Axl’s list of the best metal albums of 2015 so far included an album called Everyone Leaves by a band you’ve most likely never heard of before, Great American Ghost. And the reason you’ve probably never heard of them before is because Everyone Leaves is their debut full-length, and it doesn’t come out ’til next month. But trust us: you really, really WANT to know this Boston hardcore band.

And now you can sample the goods and see what all the hubbub is about right this moment, via MetalSucks’ exclusive debut of the track “An Ever Changing Cast of Characters.” Roughly as calm as a fire at a munitions factory, “Characters” lets the band peacock a little, showing off their finest assets: virulent guitars, eruptive drums, and stinging vocals, all stitched together into one vehement abnormality. If you dig bands like Converge and Enabler — and who doesn’t? — then Great American Ghost are going to be your new favorite band.
