18 VISIONS SINGER JAMES HART DEBUTS NEW MUSIC
James Hart, frontman of the recently disbanded 18 Visions, has a demo of a new track available for streaming on his MySpace page. Says James Hart on his MySpace:
Hey everyone. Thanks for checking out my new Myspace page. I am very excited to get back to doing what I love most, making music. I have been working hard over the last couple of months in Tulsa, Oklahoma with songwriter/producer Zac Maloy and guitarist Neal Tiemann writing and compiling songs for a future album. I have also written a bit with Keith Barney (Eighteen Visions/Never Enough) and Syn Gates (Avenged Sevenfold). I am looking forward to finishing my album, getting back out on the road and starting a new chapter in my life and career.
The new music’s sound is in a decidedly more rock direction. When put up against the material recently released by ex-18 Visions members Keith Barney and Trevor Friedrich under the Never Enough moniker, a clearer pictures is painted of who may have been responsible for the shift away from metalcore towards a more traditional rock sound on recent 18 Visions records. Anyone who saw 18 Visions perform live will attest to the obvious Scott Weiland / Axl Rose influence in James Hart’s stage show — and now it’s evident in his music too. And I mean that in a good way.
