“Quetzalcoatl”: New Liturgy Song Sure to Incite “Is it Metal or Not?” Debate

Still hot! hot! HOT! from their scintillating cameo on NBC’s The Blacklist this past October, Liturgy have announced the impending release of a new album, The Ark Work. I assume that’s meant to be a pun but who the heck knows with this band.

ANYWAY, you can stream the debut single from The Ark Work, “Quetzalcoatl,” below, courtesy of NPR. It will almost certainly incite one of those tiresome “Is it metal or not?” debates, because, well, uh, it’s not, y’know, very metal. At least not in the traditional sense. Not that Liturgy give a hoot — I’m sure they’re used to taking shit from the metal community by now.

Also: how rad is Peter Fonda on the drums???
