Triptykon’s Thomas Gabriel Fischer: “The Amount of Contempt I Feel for At the Gates is Beyond Description”
Correction, 3:48 pm: As it turns out, Antje Lange manages Triptykon, but NOT At the Gates. My apologies for the error.
It would appear that former Celtic Frost/current Triptykon frontman Thomas Gabriel Fischer has some beef with At the Gates, who are not only signed to the same label as Triptykon (Century Media), but have the same manager as well (Antje Lange). The artist also known as Tom G. Warrior recently posted the below on his Facebook page (click to enlarge):
The tour to which Fischer is referring will also feature Morbus Chron, and is set to kick off in December. Although, after this, you kinda have to wonder if Triptykon will still be a part of the tour — and if they do remain a part of the line-up, how much drama will ensue.
You also have to wonder if the squashed Switzerland gig is really the fault of the members of At the Gates themselves, as opposed to, say, promoters for the tour, who may not have agreed with with Fischer’s assessment that “both concerts would be independent enough to be successful on their own.”
In any case, it’s interesting to hear Fischer say Triptykon is a democratic band; I don’t think I’m alone in having assumed that it was a glorified solo project.
