Completely Unreadable Band Logo of the Week: Win An As Above/So Below Prize Pack!!!
Congrats to reader Brandon Lambkin! Brandon correctly identified last week’s logo as belonging to the band Elffor. For his troubles, Zach wins a copy of Black Metal: Omnibvs from Oni Press!!! Congrats, Brandon!
But if you lost, don’t cry… ’cause this week I have extra killer prize (and I do mean “killer”) for you to try to win: a prize pack from As Above/So Below, the new psychological horror thriller from Legendary and Universal Pictures that opens this Friday, August 29! The movie was written by John Erick Dowdle and Drew Dowdle and directed by John Erick Dowdle, whose work you may know from films like Quarantine and Devil; the also made the lesser-known The Poughkeepsie Tapes, which is, for my money, one of the most unsettling movies of the past decade (and not just because it takes place in Pughkeepsie, shiver). Here’s a plot summary for As Above/So Below…
Miles of twisting catacombs lie beneath the streets of Paris, the eternal home to countless souls. When a team of explorers ventures into the uncharted maze of bones, they uncover the dark secret that lies within this city of the dead. A journey into madness and terror, As Above, So Below reaches deep into the human psyche to reveal the personal demons that come back to haunt us all.
…and here’s the red band, NSFW trailer for the film:
