These Death Metal Covers of Ratt and Cinderella Classics are Brutal as Fuqq
We’re unabashed ’80s hair/glam metal fans here at the MS Mansion, but we’ve got an extra special place in our hearts for Ratt. We created a holiday dedicated to all things Ratt — Mr. Pearcy himself seemed tickled by the idea when Ratturday co-creator Zena Metal laid it down with him a few years back — and we make a habit of coming back for more every weekend. So when a letter arrived in our inbox from Peter Hasselbrack of one-man death metal band Bloodsoaked telling the world that he’d recorded a death metal cover of “You’re in Love,” well… we were, um, in love.
There’s a Bloodsoaked death metal cover of Cinderella’s “Shake Me” too. Today is the best day ever.
